I’m interested in the interaction between computation and plant biology (i.e., Plant Computational Biology). Over the past ten years, my research has led me to deepen my knowledge of genomes as well as the evolution of the genome of plants over time and its implication in agricultural improvement. I use multidisciplinary approaches that combine bioinformatics analysis, modeling and prediction with experimental verification to visualize the evolution of the plant genome. Currently, I’m developing and leading the first public cannabis breeding program in Canada.
